A successful relationship was built with the Czech and Slovak producers who subsequently purchased a major share in the business and changed the name to Bohemia Crystal UK Limited with a warehouse facility in Bedford.

During the period of the war (1939 - 1945), no goods were imported into the UK, other than the necessities and there were great shortages of most commodities. In 1948 all the individual factories throughout Czechoslovakia joined together to form one multinational organisation. This company was named Glassexport Co. Limited.
